Night of the Consumers is a horror-simulation game. The player plays as an ordinary consumer who walks into a supermarket to shop, but soon realizes that something is wrong. Inside the store are creepy distorted human salespeople who chase the player and try to get him to buy merchandise. The goal of the game is to get out of the store, collect the necessary products and not become a victim of the mutant salesmen. The game creates an atmosphere of anxiety and tension, and conveys social criticism on consumer society and marketing.
